One key component of directional drilling is that it is a more environmentally friendly approach. HDD technology often times requires less equipment and personnel than traditional open excavation. It reduces the need for site restoration i.e. landscaping and concrete/asphalt repair.

Client benefits extend beyond just a reduction in the overall carbon footprint. As the market continues to evolve, “greening” our operations is essential to being good stewards of the environment. For this reason, MDR Inc. adopts the following policies:

• Bio diesel for the equipment fleet
• Recycled water use or nonpotable water use where available
• Recycling of drilling waste
• Retaining concrete and asphalt for crushing and reuse
• Strict adherence to California stormwater best management practices
